Godzilla Minus Zero Showtimes in the US and Canada

Godzilla Minus Zero opens in theaters across the United States and Canada on Friday, November 6, 2026. The wide release follows November 3 IMAX early-access screenings. If you’re booking a ticket, check three things before you choose your seats: the theater location, the audio and subtitles, and the format listed for that specific showtime.

If you’re catching up before heading out, start with Godzilla Minus One (2023). It’s the most useful lead-in to Takashi Yamazaki’s new film. You can find a screening and get up to speed without reading a plot summary that gives away the surprises.

How to find a Godzilla Minus Zero showtime near you

Start at the official Godzilla Minus Zero ticket page or search the schedule of a theater you already use. Enter your ZIP code in the US or your postal code in Canada, then select the date you actually plan to go. If you’re comparing Friday and Saturday, run the search for both dates. A theater’s Friday listing won’t necessarily tell you what it’s showing the next day.

If you’re looking for… Check this before booking
The closest theater Confirm the street address. A chain may have several locations with similar names.
An IMAX screening Look for the IMAX label on the individual showtime.
Japanese audio with subtitles Check the audio language and the subtitle language separately.
A screening in French Check whether the listing specifies French audio or French subtitles.
Seats for a group Open the seat map and check the final price before sending the showtime to everyone.

If you don’t see the film locally, try a neighboring city or a different date. A national release date tells you when distribution begins. Your local theater’s schedule tells you which screenings you can actually book. Check the theater address again when switching between results, especially if you’re sorting by the earliest showtime.

How to check the audio and subtitles

Open the individual showtime. A film page may group several versions together, while the booking details tell you which one you’re paying for. The language of the booking site or trailer is a poor shortcut for figuring out what you’ll hear in the auditorium.

If you want the original Japanese dialogue, look for a listing that identifies Japanese audio and specifies the subtitles. If you’d prefer a dub, look for the audio language you want. In Canada, this is especially helpful when a theater has both English and French listings. One screening may be a better fit for your group even if another starts at a more convenient time.

When the listing is unclear, ask the theater a specific question: “What’s the audio language, and are there subtitles for the 7 p.m. screening?” Include the date and location if you’re contacting a chain. If you’re booking for friends, share the exact showtime, language, and theater address so everyone can check before you buy.

Is IMAX worth choosing over a standard screening?

GKIDS’ ticket announcement confirms a wide release in standard and premium formats and describes the film as Filmed For IMAX. If the larger presentation is what you’re looking forward to, compare the IMAX options near you. Check the seat map, total ticket price, and travel time before committing.

A standard screening can be the better fit if it offers your preferred language, seats together, or an easier time. Compare the seats you can actually buy, rather than the formats in the abstract. An IMAX show with only front-row seats left and a standard show with seats you prefer are two different experiences. For a group booking, agree on the language first, then choose the format and time.

Should you watch Godzilla Minus One first?

If you have time for one movie before your screening, watch Godzilla Minus One. It gives you context for Yamazaki’s version of Godzilla and for the postwar Japan that the new film returns to. For a spoiler-free lead-in, stick to the premise and save detailed recaps for afterward.

If you’re looking for the earlier film at home, check your US or Canadian storefront and look for the actual play, rent, or buy option.
